The Cloud Computing World Forum Begins

The Cloud Computing World Forum 2012 started today at Earls Court in London and is set to include 150 seminars across eight different theatres. It runs over two days and is the largest Cloud convention this side of the sky. Admittance is also free for IT professionals! So if you’re not there today, make sure you’re there tomorrow!

Innovative Products Showcased

The event will give IT professionals a chance to connect with business partners and peers whilst also enabling those in attendance to hear talks from a range of professionals and experts in the industry. It is believed that there is to be around 100 exhibitors from all over the globe as well as an opportunity to view case studies that are relevant to a wide variety of business types. Those attending will also be able to sample some of the most innovative IT products currently in existence.

Some of the leading speakers at the Cloud Computing World Forum will include Amazon’s Werner Voguls, Microsoft’s Bill Hilf and Dell’s VP for Cloud Services, Ricky Santos. There will also be a range of other representatives from government, city councils and commercial organisations.

This is the third anniversary of the event which is quite naturally expected to see it showcase even more innovative and sophisticated products than last year’s event.

This year’s conferences are expected to focus on security issues, cloud maintenance and cloud improvement amongst a number of other cloud computing subject areas.

Furthermore, it is planned that the Cloud Computing World Forum will look at how cloud providers are now leading the way in combating cybercrime. This should bring relief to many that doubted the security of the cloud and have consequently shied away from it.

Other areas up for discussion are that of mobile and applications, virtualization, CMS, storage and big data, Platform-as-a-Service, social and communications.

All in all the Cloud Computing World Forum looks like a fantastic event that will be well worth attending for all IT professionals.
