Virtual Internet has been nominated as a finalist in the SME Business Hosting and Best Managed Service Innovation category for the 14th Annual Awards put together by the Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA UK).
“Congratulations to all the finalists of the 14th annual awards and the best of luck for the night. Nomination is the culmination of either rigorous technical testing, written entry forms analyzed by experts judges or votes from customers”, said the ISPA.
More than 40 companies have been nominated across 12 categories with results announced on 3 July 2011 at the Park Lane Sheraton.
ISPA is the UK Trade Association for Providers of Internet Services and is active in influencing public policy including the new Draft Communications Data Bill put forward by Secretary General Nicholas Lansman.
The ISPA Council, a body of up to ten people selected from and representing the various interests of the membership, agrees policies. The Council is served by a secretariat. Over 200 companies in the UK benefit from membership of ISPA.
Only six finalists made it into the Best SME Business Hosting and Managed Service Innovation categories, further cementing Virtual Internet’s status as one of the leading hosting providers in the UK.
Virtual Internet was one of the first web hosting providers in the UK to offer dual VMware enterprise cloud hosting and Xen VPS offerings to SMEs. It has consistently positioned itself towards IT leaders in SMEs who require stable, secure and fast cloud platforms, dedicated servers, managed hosting and colocation facilities.
Virtual Internet has also been ranked as one of the most Reliable Hosting Company Sites Worldwide by Netcraft , winning the title in December 2010 and consistently ranking in the top three since then.
In 2011 UKTopHosts.com chose Virtual Internet as a Top 5 Host. It has also won several titles as the one of the 25 most popular Dedicated Service Providers by Dedicated Server Directory.
In recent years it has also pioneered new Content Delivery Network (CND) platforms which accelerate delivery of web content to servers situated closer to customers. Virtual Internet provides a powerful Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) foundation to SMEs seeking to lower costs, complexity and focus on business-revenue activities related to application development rather than the day-to-day technical issues associated with on-premise server management.
